Therapeutic Play

Play is a child’s language, and it’s the way they explore their world. In play sessions, children are free to choose their own path to healing. They will play out their fears, and explore how they relate to their situation.

For each child that comes to my service, there is a different route of therapy through play.

Play can be directive and non-directive.

For older children and teenagers, individual or a combination of techniques are used – such as Narrative Therapy, general Counselling and Art Therapy.

Creative, therapeutic workshops for teens include drama, movement, art and music therapy, and can address a wide range of issues, including creative mindfulness, positive thinking and positive body image. This work can be 1-1 or in a group or class.
