Whilst being a parent is the most amazing job, it is not always easy, and many times, it’s hard. I provide private consultations for parents and carers of children, and work closely alongside you throughout the process of therapy work. Parents can avail of a supported parenting plan to help with whatever they are struggling with.
Parenting Plans
Parenting plans are varied and depend on the issues presented. Sometimes, a detailed parenting plan with support for the family is all you need.
Generally, I follow points 1-5 below, followed by a consultation to discuss any further intervention, such as 1-1 or family therapy that is required.
- 1st parent consultation
- Child observations at home (and school if appropriate)
- Detailed written parenting plan
- 2nd parent consultation – parenting plan explained and start dates decided
- 2 week review – phonecall or zoom. Extra recommendations, additions to the plan if needed
- 4 week review – Phonecall or zoom. Extra recommendations, additions to the plan if needed.
Parenting Plans and two reviews will take 6 weeks in total and the cost is €250.
After the Parenting plan is established and we have reviewed after 4 weeks, the route of further therapy may be arranged, such as 1-1 therapy for the child/children, or further parenting sessions. These are payable per session.
(If I am to visit your home outside of Kells area, travel expenses may be added accordingly)
